Eagles Sign 11 Undrafted Rookies
By Lance Epstein
Today the Eagles officially announced that they had come to terms with 11 undrafted rookie free agents.
Yesterday, Eaglesmix.com reported some of the players that the Eagles had signed, but now they are official. Purdue quarterback Joey Elliott, corner David Pender and Tennessee-Chattanooga wide receiver Blue Cooper were just three of the players that we reported.
Some of the other players that the Eagles signed were UMass fullback Chris Zardas, LSU defensive tackle Charles Alexander, Kentucky guard Zipp Duncan, Northern Iowa offensive tackle Austin Howard, San Jose State Kevin Jurovich, North Carolina State tackle Jeraill McCuller, Weber State cornerback Josh Morris and Colgate wide receiver Pat Simonds.
Which one does every one else think will make the team?
Here is a link to scouting reports via PhiladelphiaEagles.com and SI's Tony Pauline:
I wouldn't expect much from the free agents this year, if I am a top free agent I am not going to a team that just drafted 13 players. Maybe keep an eye on the fullback Chris Zardas, or one of the corners to make the team as a special teamer.
ReplyDeleteIf I was a FA CB I'd go to Philadelphia. God knows they need some competition.
ReplyDeleteChris Zardas is an outstanding athlete. Saw him play vs. Kansas State and he really impressed me. I imagine he could at last make an impact on special teams.
