Sighs Of Relief For Jackson

A Collective Breathe Released For Eagles Fans

By Lance Epstein

All the prayers have been answer for Eagles fans and Kevin Kolb.

DeSean Jackson appears to be OK as he exited the Eagles locker room without a limp or medical attention to his back or leg as he jumped into his Porsche on Saturday night.

However like Jackson has been doing since he arrived at camp, he sped off without giving a comment on his injury or contract situation.

One player that commented on the situation was his quarterback. When Kolb saw his deep threat in Jackson go down in a heap, he claims that his heart skipped a beat.

"It does for a quarterback," said Kolb holding his breathe when his star receiver appeared to be injured. "You definitely need him out there."

As for the rest of his teammates and coaches, they did not seem overly concerned about when Jackson would be back on the practice field or if he'd miss any time. The Eagles made a statement saying Jackson is OK, but is being "evaluated."

Another player that was on the field at the time of the incident was linebacker Omar Gaither. He has confirmed that the injury is nothing serious.

"He'll be all right. It wasn't anything that serious," Gaither said "Obviously, they're gonna take the full precaution, but he'll be fine."

Gaither also made sure his job was safe as he explained to Andy Reid that he never touched Jackson and thus not to blame for the injury. It is safe to say that both Gaither and Jackson will probably be wearing midnight green this season and making significant contributions.

  1. Everybody cross your fingers, not how you want camp to start off. Bad Karma.
